Pilz, Cork
Global automation technology company, Pilz (GmbH & Co. KG), has recently moved to its new state-of-the-art facilities in Cork, Ireland. The striking design has impressed the industry, winning Industrial Project of the Year at the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2018.
Designed by Cook Architects and installed by contractor Sonica, SAS International was specified for its metal ceiling design solutions and product delivery.
SAS International supplied 270.98m2 of product in the new build’s office and meeting rooms. SAS500 was selected to complement the building’s industrial, open-plan design, providing optimal acoustic absorption in areas with exposed soffits.
A particular design challenge was providing special SAS500 baffles to ensure floor-to-ceiling height was achieved. SAS International collaborated with the architects to guarantee the client’s requirements were met.
Completed on-time and to specification, SAS International’s metal ceiling designs will ensure Pilz’s radical building both looks good and performs well into the future.
