Jotun is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of paints and coatings. Their new regional headquarters and laboratories in Dubai Science Park provide a space for collaboration and innovation. SAS International provided SAS500 in RAL7042 (traffic grey A) to the project to create a sleek and contemporary workplace.

One of the primary reasons for selecting the SAS500 was to meet the acoustic requirements of the offices, meeting rooms, and labs. The baffles aid sound diffusion and absorption, creating a comfortable acoustic environment for staff, as well as adding a visual interest to the ceiling. This is crucial for the R&D facility, where concentration and effective communication are essential.

The design of the SAS system, particularly the wide span of the vertical supports, enabled the contractor to install the baffles without conflicting with the MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) services. The initial training and mock-up conducted helped the ceiling contractor to understand the product and installation techniques.
