SAS International worked in collaboration with BDP, BAM Construct UK and Sound Interiors Ltd to deliver standard and bespoke SAS metal ceiling systems to PwC, Manchester.
The space occupied by the client has some of the largest open floorplates in Manchester. This not only offers modern, flexible working areas but aids in breaking down barriers and physical separations between teams. Across the main workspaces, SAS330 in Pure White was installed presenting a pristine and uniform aesthetic which contributes to the open-plan design.
The communal spaces, break-out areas and meeting rooms required further modernisation and so a wide selection of standard and bespoke SAS ceilings were supplied. This adds vibrancy to the refurbished areas and creates different ambiences for PwC’s employees to work as well as carry out meetings.
For the communal area, bespoke hexagonal SAS600 rafts were designed and manufactured to protect and amplify the lights which were specified to be installed. SAS600 offers the design flexibility allowing highly aspirational interior intention of architects and clients to be realised. This bespoke design was achievable due to SAS’s strong relationship with the contractors and design team which was developed when delivering the CAT A fit-out.
To contribute to the sleek and intelligent design of the break-out area, SAS810 Tricell finished in RAL 8022 Black/Brown was installed. The triangular open cell ceiling system provides a geometric design that can present a striking aesthetic to any room and area.
A further floor was completed in early 2019 which features the popular hexagonal SAS600 rafts as well as the introduction of SAS330 Mesh in 12 meeting rooms.
Delivered to a tight fit-out programme, this striking people-centric office space has won the Fit Out of Workplace Award at the regional British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards.
