SAS Contributes to One One One Eagle Street Carbon Neutral Status with SAS750 Ceiling System
In the heart of Brisbane stands General Property Trust’s first premium office building One One One Eagle Street, the first premium office building to achieve carbon neutral status. Designed by international architect firm, BVN, the office complex has been built on a foundation of reducing energy and water consumption and to provide long-term cost efficiencies.
As the first metal ceiling manufacturer to achieve Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze (Version 4.0), SAS International Australia were pleased to be chosen to provide the metal ceiling solution for the main entrance, hallways and meeting rooms using the bespoke SAS750 Vertiline system.
The SAS750 ceiling system is becoming increasing popular in the Australian market as it provides the option for dynamic design combined with practicality. It enables specifiers the flexibility to choose from a variety of design features including the ability to include curves, waves as well as horizontal, vertical mounting options.
SAS International’s sustainability focus aligned well with the goals of this project. The Company was awarded Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze (Version 4) in April 2023. The certification covers not only the majority of the Company’s products but also the manufacturing and procurement processes. SAS International are working hard on sustainability by reducing their impact on the environment in and assist in meeting the global net zero targets.
