SAS International Ireland supplied over 2500m2 of metal ceiling solutions to one of Irelands largest and busiest shopping destinations, Blanchardstown Centre.
Originally built in 1996 and after 25 years of use, the mall required revitalisation throughout to offer a modernized customer experience. This saw the construction of several extensions, internal reconfigurations, external façade upgrades and the creation of new entrances.
Upon arriving at the centre, shoppers are greeted by two new entrances, both showcasing SAS720 in various shades of red or green. To realize the architect's vision of creating a random pattern while keeping the project within budget, an element of standardization had to be introduced, which presented design coordination challenges. To work around this, SAS developed fully integrated, bespoke removable access panels to enable access to the void for maintenance. SAS720 is suitable for both internal and external applications.
SAS700, finished in light oak from the SAS WoodTones range, can be seen throughout the shopping centre above the main walkways. Specified to mimic the original design concept of real wood. The WoodTones light oak dye-sublimation finish elevates the vast walkways by introducing a touch of nature to the space, helping to brighten non-daylit areas.
Perfectly suited to expansive retail environments, this system, combined with third-party lighting, effortlessly creates a bright, inviting atmosphere for shoppers to explore.
The team at SAS International in Ireland worked in collaboration with Lafferty Architects to deliver this project on time and within budget, to exceptional standards.
