SAS330 was specified with bespoke trapezoidal tiles for Abu Dhabi Investment Council HQ. Developed to meet the design of the building the metal ceiling tiles incorporate an acoustic pad and plasterboard backing to provide high dB performance.
The two 24-storey Towers in Abu Dhabi are unique shapes; the exterior design of both buildings is based on a Reuleux triangle with rounded corners to maximise floor area. The shape of the building required the ceiling system to be designed according to the distinctive curved shape of the building. Up to 11 different sized metal ceiling tiles on each floor were manufactured and installed throughout the project. To maximise the acoustic performance and aesthetic finish, luminaires and other MEP services were installed within the supporting profile.
SAS330 was specified as it can be designed to meet the demands of any building grid. Used in conjunction with trapezoidal tiles it provided the perfect solution for the Al Bahr Towers.
