Aircraft Hangar, Abu Dhabi
SAS International has installed metal ceilings for an aircraft hangar in Abu Dhabi.
SAS150 was specified; a combination of square and rectangular tiles were installed throughout the office areas, which are located either side of the hangar.
The metal hinge-down tiles were chosen for their durability, accessibility to the ceiling void and low-maintenance. The life-span of SAS International’s metal ceilings is in excess of 25 years with only very basic maintenance.
Being an office next to an aircraft maintenance hangar, the suspended ceiling system was required to make a significant contribution to acoustic comfort within the office areas taking into consideration both open plan acoustic absorption and room to room privacy.
The tight deadlines for the project were easily met by SAS International’s local Dubai office, as the tiles were delivered from stock held in our GCC distribution warehouse and were on-site to meet project deadlines.
