Technical Information

Durability: All sublimated finishes have been tested to South Florida Inspection Report & South Florida Instrumental Colour and the AAMA 2603 & 2604 Coating Performance Reports. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor usage.

Fire Performance: Compliant with European classification BS EN 13501, ASTM E84, and UL 723. Please contact us for further information on system specific fire performance data.

Low VOCs: WoodTones sublimated finishes have been tested in accordance with Indoor Air Comfort Gold 6.0 and emit very low levels of VOC's (<5μg/m3); they are classified E1 for release of Formaldehyde in accordance with BE EN 13964:2014 (annex E).

Warranty: 25 years for internal applications. External warranties are available on a project-specific basis. The life expectancy of the product is more than 35 years.

This range and the technical information provided are based on WoodTones finishes and are suitable for most SAS ceiling systems and integrations. However, an alternative coating process may be necessary for certain applications according to product type, application, and required volumes.

NO 191 WEST GEORGE STREET, GLASGOW

Situated at the heart of Glasgow is 191 West George Street, one of the most eminent commercial buildings within the business quarter of the International Financial Services, and is home to a variety of renowned businesses including Hilton Hotels and RSA Group. Sublimated, light oak timber effect SAS740 was used in the breakout areas and communal spaces on all three floors.

10 Columbus Circle, New York

Spanning the trading floors of this striking New York financial headquarters, 10 Columbus Circle features 55ft-long ‘acoustic ribbons’ designed and manufactured by SAS. Each panel had a dye sublimated custom wood finish to one face, and a dramatic grey brown (RAL8019) polyester powder coat on the opposing side.

Alea Casino, Glasgow

The £8m casino, part of the Alea Glasgow development on the banks of the Clyde, was designed by architects Burrows Cave International, with Real Studios working on interior design. The wood-effect finish was able to offer the interior designers a more cost effective solution than traditional real timber - to create the ‘wave’ structure out of natural timber would have come at a much larger expense than through the use of metal and SAS International’s manufacturing process.
