Bridging Generations of Architectural Excellence
Norman Foster delivers a new extension at Marseille Provence Airport Terminal 1, bridging Fernand Pouillon’s 1960’s terminal and Richard Rogers’ 1990’s airside development. The extension features a new ‘Coeur’ providing a cohesive arrival and departure sequence.
Layering Form, Light and Texture
The Coeur’s inverted beam roof includes deep skylight boxes showcasing bespoke wall paneling and SAS200 concealed grid tiles in RAL9007. SAS600 rafts in RAL7016 Anthracite Gray create a strong visual gridwork; SAS710 linear profiles feature throughout the baggage area.
