Today, on World Day for Safety & Health at Work, we're proud to spotlight two of our colleagues who live and breathe SAS's health and safety values every day.
Ian Nicholson, Senior Ceiling Fixer, and George Nicholson, Ceiling Fixer, have recently been awarded Mace's Health and Safety at Work Monthly Award on the Bloomberg Project in London.
Ian and George have almost 40 years of combined experience as Ceiling Fixers for SAS. Here's what they have to say about the project and working together.
"The Bloomberg project stands out because of the bespoke ceiling design and the strong, professional work culture on site. With over 30 years in the trade (Ian) and 8 years (George), we’ve seen a lot, but this project is something special.
We always look out for each other, both within our team and across the site. That mindset helps us maintain high standards and stay safe, which is why being recognised with a Health & Safety award means so much."
A huge well done to Ian and George, and thanks to all our teams who put health and safety at the heart of everything we do.
For the past 12 years, SAS International have played a pivotal role in the Bloomberg London headquarters project by designing and installing an innovative ceiling system that integrates acoustics, lighting, and temperature control. This bespoke solution significantly contributes to the building achieving a 98.5% 'Outstanding' BREEAM rating. To read the case study, click the link below.
