Situated within the striking Deansgate Square development, Block D on Owen Street represents a pinnacle of residential design in Manchester. Developed by Renaker Build Ltd and designed by Collingridge & Smith Architects in collaboration with Simpson Haugh & Partners, the project seamlessly blends luxury aesthetics with high-performance architectural systems. Interior design by Lister+Lister complements the building’s modern lines with bespoke finishes throughout.
The architectural brief required a ceiling system that blended with the building’s striking, art deco-inspired aesthetic while delivering outstanding acoustic control and service access. SAS500 was chosen for its refined appearance, acoustic performance, and adaptability to bespoke design requirements. With a bespoke Sun Gold finish, the ceiling system provides a warm metallic finish, creating striking visual interest for visitors and residents.
SAS500 was designed to meet multiple performance objectives. Its acoustic absorption properties help reduce transferred noise in communal corridors and open-plan areas, improving comfort for residents. The precision detailing ensures a seamless aesthetic that aligns with the building’s contemporary architectural ethos. Additionally, the integration of concealed access panels enables discreet servicing of mechanical and electrical infrastructure without compromising the clean, modern look.
Renaker Build Ltd oversaw the project as the main contractor, working closely with specialist sub‑contractors. Titan Interior Solutions led the installation of the SAS500 ceiling system, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to the design intent, while Horbury Building Services coordinated mechanical and electrical systems to work in harmony with the ceiling design. This collaborative approach ensured the project was delivered on schedule and to an exceptional standard.
