Architects and designers, In Haus Solutions selected SAS International’s ceiling solutions for the new Habourside Gala Casino in Bristol. SAS lay-in modular metal ceiling tiles were chosen for this striking casino complex as they provided a clean-cut, contemporary look, and could be produced in a number of different colours.

RAL colours, Pure White and Signal White were used for the ceiling tiles in the entrance hall area and lift lobbies. To create an ambiance and impact above the main gaming floor, a blue coloured finish was specified for added impact, while yellow was chosen for the restaurant areas. Special curved trims for columns, also from SAS International, were also used to ensure the right finish.

Jenny Bedell-Harper at In Haus Solutions commented: “With the internal shell of the ceiling we wanted a surface that provided a sheen, so you can see the glow of the lighting gently cast around. We could only achieve this with a metal tile. This was especially important to make the most of the Casino’s large, centrally hung, lighting feature. We also liked the perforations on the SAS ceiling tiles which added to the effect.”

Having created the brand design for an initial casino project for the Gala Group in Sunderland, In Haus Solutions, who are specialists in projects for the leisure and retail industry, were able to ensure there was a consistent design and build in Bristol. They also plan to use the format in a subsequent project for the client in Bournemouth.
