Our Cradle to Cradle certification has provided us with a strong framework to develop and lead in responsible manufacturing. Recognised globally, C2C certified aligns with BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and many other ESG accreditors in the construction sector.

Material Health

Our certified products are compliant with Red List Free, REACH, RoHS, The Stockholm Convention, and California Prop65. This means they contain no PVC, PFAs, BPA, flame retardants, carcinogens, mutagens, or other serious toxins.

Clean Air & Climate Protection

We work with our energy and gas suppliers to reduce our usage and invest in renewable energy sources. The solar PV panels on our manufacturing facilities

Product Circularity

All SAS products are designed for disassembly, recycling and reuse. This is being proven through our SAS Recover program which has refurbished thousands of tiles for resupply or redistribution. Our new product processes also ensure sustainable material sourcing, low waste and design for disassembly.

Water & Soil Stewardship

Our wastewater testing exceeds the standards of our local water boards and our material waste management is continuously evolving to reduce the quantity and utilise new channels for reuse and recycling. Biodiversity is also supported through staff initiatives such as bird box building and beach cleans.

Social Fairness & Human Rights

We are a Living Wage Employer, and invest in early careers development and training. Through our Human Rights policy, we have collaborated with our 45+ suppliers to challenge and assess unethical practices and infringements.

The Cradle to Cradle certification is divided into two certificates. The full scope document covers all of our sustainability efforts in supply chain, manufacturing, design, resources and products. The Material Health certificate is specific for our products and materials.

all of our standard systems are certified within the Cradle to Cradle Silver certification. This includes perforations up to 39% open area, chilled ceilings, SAS Recover and our top five PPC finishes.

SAS products support credits and points under BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and other global frameworks, simplifying the path to certification.

Products contain fully assessed and verified ingredients with no chemicals of concern and meet strict indoor air quality standards through IAC Gold and CDPH testing.
