Binnacles are designed to incorporate a number of services. The name binnacle is derived from an 1880s patent by Lord Kelvin, as a case that supports and protects a ships compass.
 

Features
Binnacles can be designed to incorporate almost any service, including fire services and air handling as well as public telephones, VDU screens, and passenger travel information. A range of face plates can be used in areas to allow for the different services required.
 

Binnacles are generally considered for use in public buildings such as airports and other travel terminals and concourses. They can also be used in large open reception or entrance areas where a large volume of regularly updated information needs to be communicated.
 

Finish
Polyester powder coated, supplied as standard with a RAL 9010 smooth finish, a fine textured finish (SAS FT), anti-bacterial coating (SAS AB), anti-graffiti coating (SAS AG) and other colours are available.
